For the School of Visual Communication's Soul of Athens project, I created a series of illustrations of haunted spots in Athens, Ohio. This one is of the Ridges, Athens' mental asylum that closed its doors in 1993. Since then it has been a focal point for many stories that involve supernatural experiences. For an independent study I am creating a 12 month wall calendar featuring a variety of illustrations that I plan to create using different techniques. This "pilot" month is a digital illustration in which I combine vector art, photography and stock photography to create a post-apocalyptic beach scene. more to come very soon.
This year for the Autocross to find a cure for Huntington's Disease, I designed a poster and t-shirt that has a very stylized look. For awhile, I've been trying to work out a style for vector art that works for me and I think for this project I am close. For more information about Fast Track 2009, please visit Fast Track PGH. I created the lawn pope for a digital visualizing class. The assignment was to create a mock product that critiques our society. I wanted to advertise this product as a type of propaganda that the church uses to make money.
